VILLA AMENITIES
This is simply the most
beautiful and luxurious villa in the Caribbean, "one of the best villas in
the world." (Condé Nast Traveler). Host to many luminaries, this
beachfront estate lies magically where the Roaring River meets the Caribbean Sea
in St. Ann's Bay, a few minutes outside of Ocho Rios. Imagine the classic scene
from the film "Dr. No" where Sean Connery greets Ursula Andress
emerging from the surf. This is our location.
Roaring Pavilion is a world class private home ~ remarkable for exquisite
interior design, excellent staff and service, secluded private beach and
luxurious amenities. Textures of teak, mahogany, coral, suede and linen adorn
this beautiful home. Floor tiles are raw Parefeuille French terra cotta.
Exterior walls are custom-colored Italian limestone. Rugs are from Marrakech and
Turkey. The Pavilion chandelier is from Italy; the dining room chandelier
is from St. Remy de Provence. Bronze busts are from Germany. The
hand-painted screen behind the baby grand piano is from Italy, as are the cherub
table in the vestibule and the putti lamps in Peacock Room.
What immediately strikes you about Roaring Pavilion Villa & Spa is the loving attention to detail ~ from the furnishings and artwork to the dazzling colour accents, Italian limestone, Barbadian coral stone and French terra-cotta floors. Beds are furnished with wonderful linen sheets and down pillows, made especially for Roaring Pavilion.
The focal point is the stunning open-air pavilion reached via an interior walkway over a meandering reflecting pool. The pavilion offers a Caribbean view with steps leading to the villa's infinity-edge private pool.
Three gracious living areas include a stylish den with large-screen satellite plasma TV. Roaring Pavilion Villa & Spa is the only property of its kind to offer complete on-site spa facilities, both indoors and outside by the river. An air-conditioned state-of-the-art gym with superior aerobic and weight training equipment overlooks the Roaring River. Roaring River doesn't actually roar. It quietly seduces as a surprisingly quiet and shallow gentle stream.
Special features include lily ponds, palms in Chinese
fishbowls, indoor dining under a French chandelier on a 10' mahogany table,
offshore reef within snorkeling distance, bonfire night on the beach (marshmallows
& drinks), and water sports arranged on request (jet skis, deep sea fishing,
daytime and sunset cruises, windsurfing, parasailing). Pickup for water sports
on the Roaring Pavilion Beach is available for a fee.
