WINDSONG VILLA AND GROUNDS

Windsong is an exquisite and very private home just minutes from Round Hill. Designed by noted architect Kasimir Coribut, the site benefits from spectacular views by day and night and the most favorable tradewinds. The east view captures the sunrise and Montego Bay ... the west view is an equally lovely vista toward Round Hill, the sea and the sunset. The grounds are like a park... plentiful with trees bearing almond, coconut, lime, avocado, orange, ackee, breadfruit, fig and papaya and adorned by brilliant hibiscus and bougainvillea. Five fountains grace the indoor gardens. From the central fountain, stone walkways lead to the Great Room, bar, indoor dining room, bedrooms... and the wonderful 700-square foot verandah with second al fresco dining area.

Interiors are beautifully designed in white on wicker, bright chintz, glass sculpture, fanciful hand-painted chandeliers and exquisite objets d'art. Floors are cut stone, terrazzo and marble. All rooms are distinguished by a remarkable collection of original art including many Haitian oils (Bottex, Saul, etc.) and sculptures.

The airy Great Room opens through 22 glass doors to the vast ocean view to the east and large pool terrace to the west. The poolside bar is always stocked with drinks. The sound system carries music throughout indoor and outdoor living areas.

The excellent hard-surface tennis court is maintained perfectly by Davis Cup/Wimbledon pro, Richard Russell.

Completing this home are the lovable pets ... three sweet dogs and cats ... who may be boarded at guests' request.

Meals at Windsong merit special mention. Marcia treats guests to a delicious array of soufflés; lobster thermidor; leg of lamb rosemary; fish, chicken and pork sizzling from the coal grill; cheesecake, Key lime pie, orange pudding... and much more. Table service is Italian, French porcelain or Wedgwood.

For larger groups, Windsong can be rented with its neighboring villas, Hanover House and Goat Hill... each quite nearby.
