TRANQUILLITY VILLA AND GROUNDS
True to its name, Tranquillity is a place for relaxing into the calm ambiance of an exquisite home on a beautiful waterfront site ... while being quietly pampered by a competent staff. The main house accommodates six guests. By including the Beach Cottage, Tranquillity accommodates eight guests.

The well appointed rooms of Tranquillity stretch over 4,800 square feet of rich marble floors. The spacious Great Room opens to an 86' furnished verandah. Meals are served by the butler on the verandah overlooking two acres of landscaped grounds and the sea ... or in the inside formal dining room ... or, as a special treat, in the romantic seaside gazebo by candlelight. On calm nights, two or three local fisherman ease through the water beyond the gazebo carrying torches and laying bait nets for the fresh catch they will deliver to the cook the next morning. The overall ambiance is quite beautiful.

Menu

The large master suite is privately located in a wing on the east end of the villa. Two smaller bedrooms are beyond the living room on the west end of the villa. The fourth bedroom and a smaller fifth bedroom most suitable for children are in the Beach Cottage across the lawn on the water’s edge. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and have French doors to the wonderful tropical view. The state-of-the-art kitchen includes a 6-burner Vulcan gas stove, microwave and double fridge with icemaker.

Meals here merit special attention. Chef Danny has extensive experience in a number of cuisines including Italian, Spanish and Jamaican. He received his formal training in Italy and has been Head Chef at several of Montego Bay's better restaurants. Danny's experience and creativity, as well as his willingness to create menus to suit special requests, make the culinary part of everyone’s stay at Tranquillity something to savor.

If you’ve left your pets behind, be advised that Tranquillity is home to our friendly dogs. They are not permitted in the house or on the verandah. They spend days in the yard and on the beach and the staff cares for them. If you enjoy them, they’ll run with you on the beach and romp with you in the sea. They are gentle, well-behaved and love guests!

ACCOMMODATIONS

Master Bedroom
King-size bed in a high-ceilinged 400-square-foot suite. En-suite bath has tub/shower and separate walk-in shower. Six French doors open to large private furnished verandah ... and path leading to pool and beach so guests can steal out for moonlight dips.

Bedroom 3
King-size bed; en-suite bath with tiled shower. French doors to private patio, grounds and tennis court.

Beach Cottage
Bedrooms 4 + 5
Designed as the owners’ private quarters, this is an exquisite 2-story cottage right next to the sea. Downstairs are the living room, kitchen with microwave, VCR and cable television, sound system, small extra bedroom with queensize bed and bathroom with walk-in shower. The lower level opens to a private terrace on the edge of the beach where meals are served if only the Beach Cottage is occupied. (If more than two guests are in residence, all meals are served on the main house verandah, although eye-opener coffee and fruit may be served at the Beach Cottage.) Upstairs are the kingsize bedroom, over-the-beach balcony with lounges for sunning or star-gazing and large en-suite marble bath with oversize walk-in shower.
